The primary difference between Hastelloy C22 and C276 lies in their temperature tolerance. C276 handles significantly higher temperatures, up to 1900°F, compared to C22's 1250°F, making C276 better for high-heat applications.
Hastelloy C22's practical sustained service limit is around 1250°F (676°C). Exceeding this can affect its corrosion resistance. The melting point is approximately 2500°F (1371°C).
