Alloy description-
Hastelloy B2 is actually solid solution strengthened and molybdenum and nickel-based along with significantly resistant to the reducing atmosphere including sulfuric, phosphoric acid etc. here molybdenum alloy is the major element that is providing excellent corrosion resistant to the reducing atmosphere. The nickel steel alloy can be easily used into the welded condition as it is forming grain boundary carbide precipitations at the zone that is heat affected. The nickel alloy is providing good resistant at all temperature and concentrations to the hydrochloric acid. Additionally, this alloy is possessing resistant to SCC and pitting and knife line. It provides a resistant ability to sulfuric acid and several non-oxidizing acids.
