Welded tubes (ERW/EFW) are formed by rolling flat steel strip into a cylinder and welding the seam. Seamless tubes are preferred for high-pressure, high-temperature, and safety-critical applications. Welded tubes offer cost advantages for lower-pressure, general-purpose applications.
