The weight of a weld neck flange is calculated using the formula W1=0.0246615×(A−Tk)×Tk×0.01, where A is the outside diameter and Tk is the wall thickness of the mating pipe.
To calculate the weight of a circle, use the formula: square of diameter × thickness × 0.785 × density of alloy.
The three most common flange types are Welding Neck Flange, Slip-on Flange, and Socket Weld Flange.
