Copper Nickel 70/30 pipes (UNS C71500, ASTM B466 / ASME SB466) are 70% copper / 30% nickel alloy pipes prized for erosion-corrosion resistance at high seawater flow velocities. Available ½" to 6" OD, seamless, welded and ERW, they're the standard choice over 90/10 for high-velocity marine and desalination lines.
Solitaire Overseas is a trusted copper nickel 70 30 pipes supplier, stockist and exporter based in Mumbai, India. We supply ASTM B466 / ASME SB466 UNS C71500 copper nickel 70/30 pipes in seamless, welded and ERW forms to clients across the Gulf, Southeast Asia, Europe, and beyond. Our stock is maintained mill-certified, with full traceability and third-party inspection available on request. We are an ISO-certified organisation committed to on-time delivery and competitive pricing for project quantities and spot requirements alike.
CuNi 70/30 (UNS C71500) pipes contain 70% copper and 30% nickel, with controlled additions of iron and manganese. This composition gives the alloy superior erosion-corrosion resistance at high seawater flow velocities, the primary reason naval architects and desalination plant engineers specify 70/30 over 90/10 for high-velocity lines. Our Cupro Nickel 70/30 Heat Exchanger Condenser Tubes are also available for brine heater and MSF/MED desalination applications. Request a quote or MTC along with your RFQ.
Browse our complete range of Cupro Nickel Pipes Supplier & Exporter products, including the Cupro Nickel 90/10 Pipes Supplier & Exporter for lower-velocity seawater applications. For complete piping systems, we also supply Copper Nickel 70/30 Pipe Fittings and Copper Nickel 70/30 Flanges.

CuNi 70/30 pipes are widely specified in seawater and marine environments due to their high-velocity erosion-corrosion resistance. For a deeper look at end-use sectors, see our blog:What are Copper Nickel Pipes Used For.
Copper Nickel 70/30 pipe pricing moves with the LME copper/nickel base metal price, so there's no fixed rate card but the factors that move your specific quote are predictable:
Share your size, schedule, quantity, and certification requirement and we'll come back with a firm quote — Request a Quote.
Mechanical Testing such as Tensile of Area, Hardness Test, Chemical Analysis – Spectro Analysis, Positive Material Identification tests are conducted. Other tests include Micro and Macro Test, Intergranular Corrosion (IGC) Test, Flattening Test, Flaring Test, and Pitting Resistance Test.
We understand the importance of CuNi 70/30 Pipes packaging, especially during international shipments where the delivery has to pass through a number of channels to arrive at the final destination. We take proper care of packing. Usually pipes are packed in wooden cases/pallets and wrapped in environmental poly bags.
UNS C71500. Covered under ASTM B466 (seamless) and B467 (welded), with ASME equivalents SB466 and SB467. Werkstoff Nr. 2.0882. Also referred to as Cupro Nickel 70/30 or CuNi 70/30.
The higher nickel content (30% vs 10%) gives UNS C71500 superior erosion-corrosion resistance at elevated flow velocities, the key reason naval, desalination, and brine heater engineers specify 70/30.
Yes. All CuNi 70/30 ASTM B466 pipes ship with EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV is available on request. NABL-approved lab reports are also provided.
OD: 1/2" to 6". Wall: 0.15 mm to 1.50 mm. Schedules: SCH20 to XXS. Seamless, welded, and ERW forms stocked. Custom sizes, lengths, and finishes supplied against project requirements.
Yes, Cu-Ni 70/30 rates “excellent” for coated metal arc, gas shielded arc, butt, seam, and spot welding, and “good” for oxyacetylene welding. It does work-harden, so machining and forming should use sharp tooling and moderate speeds, see the Fabrication & Weldability table above for the full breakdown.
Base LME copper/nickel prices set the floor, and your final quote moves with origin mill, size and schedule, seamless vs. welded form, certification level (3.1 vs. 3.2 MTC), and order quantity. See “What Affects Cu-Ni 70/30 Pipe Pricing” above for a full breakdown.
