Solitaire Overseas is an Aramco approved finned tubes manufacturer and exporter based in Mumbai, India. We supply crimped, L-base, G-base, integral, spiral-wound and wire-wound finned tubes in stainless steel, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, copper-nickel and other alloys, manufactured to national and international standards. Tubes are supplied in straight lengths or U-bend form, with the bend section finned or left plain as required for your assembly.
Finned tubes from Solitaire Overseas are used in recuperators, heat exchangers, evaporators, condensers, air-cooled condensers and radiators, marine equipment, corrosion-resistant process heaters, oil heaters and oil coolers. Send us your tube specification, fin type and quantity and we will confirm availability and pricing within 24 hours.
A finned tube is a heat exchanger tube with fins attached to or formed on its outer surface, increasing the surface area in contact with the fluid outside the tube, usually air or another gas. Heat transfer between two fluids across a tube wall depends on the temperature difference between them, the heat transfer coefficient of each fluid, and the surface area each fluid is exposed to. On a bare tube, the fluid with the lower heat transfer coefficient limits the overall rate of heat exchange. Gases have a naturally lower heat transfer coefficient than liquids, so wherever one side of an exchanger runs on air or flue gas rather than a second liquid, fins on the outside compensate by multiplying the available surface area in some configurations increasing it by several times over an equivalent bare tube.
The practical benefit is fewer tubes for the same thermal duty: a well-specified finned bundle can do the work of several bare tubes in a smaller shell, which is why fin tubes for heat exchanger, air-cooled condenser and radiator applications are specified over plain tubing wherever the outside fluid is a gas.
As an Aramco approved finned tubes supplier, Solitaire Overseas manufactures Continuous Spiral Crimped Fins for efficient heat dissipation and wire-wound finned tubes valued for their mechanical durability. Carbon steel finned tubes are supplied for higher-temperature service, and aluminium finned tubes where a lightweight, cost-efficient option is preferred. As a finned tubes manufacturer in India serving the process, power and HVAC industries, we tailor the base tube grade, fin type and fin density to the application.
Stainless steel finned tubes are used across a wide range of industrial heat exchanger applications where corrosion resistance is a priority. Our stainless steel fin tubes are inspected and approved by the customer or a nominated third-party inspection agency before dispatch, supplied in custom-made shapes and sizes, and hydro tested at the specified pressure after the finning operation to help ensure a defect-free product.
Carbon steel finned tubes are a versatile, cost-effective option for heat transfer duty, commonly used in heat exchangers, condensers and evaporators. Our carbon steel fin tubes are processed from various grades in both seamless and welded construction.
Solitaire Overseas manufactures a full range of finned tube configurations, each suited to a different fin-attachment method, operating temperature and fouling environment:
An outer sleeve is mechanically bonded over the base tube and machined to form integral fins, giving strong thermal contact across the entire fin base with no brazed joint to fail. A standard choice for air fin coolers, air-cooled condensers and heat recovery service.
A helical groove is machined into the base tube, the fin root is pressed into it and the groove is closed by rolling. This mechanical interlock removes any air gap between fin and tube, holding good thermal contact even at higher continuous operating temperatures, which is why G-type is often preferred for higher-duty air coolers.
Fin strip is helically wound under tension around the base tube with the fin root bent into an L-shape that grips the tube mechanically. Suited to moderate-temperature service such as HVAC and process gas coolers.
A double-L foot configuration for improved grip over standard L-type, used where slightly higher mechanical security at the fin base is needed.
Adds a knurled tube surface at the contact point for better heat transfer at the fin base, within the same tension-wound family as L and LL types.
The fin profile is rolled or machined directly from the base tube wall, so the fin is integral with the tube rather than a separate attached component. Used in shell-and-tube exchangers, reboilers and condensers where a moderate surface-area increase over plain tube is sufficient.
Taller fins for a greater surface-area increase within the same shell volume, used where maximum heat transfer area is needed and airside pressure drop can be accommodated.
An oval tube profile that reduces airside pressure drop and wake turbulence compared to round-tube fin configurations, useful in compact air-side layouts.
Short studs rather than continuous fins, welded to the tube surface. Suited to high-radiation environments such as fired heaters and waste heat boiler radiant sections, where continuous fins would be damaged by direct radiant heat or heavy fouling.
Fins can be manufactured in materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, copper-nickel and other alloys, matched to your process and corrosion requirements.

Finned tubes from Solitaire Overseas are supplied across a range of industries:
Solitaire Overseas is an Aramco approved finned tubes manufacturer supplying stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel tubes that meet national and international standards, with custom sizing and hydro testing carried out before dispatch. If your project also calls for bare heat exchanger and condenser tubes alongside finned sections, we supply both from a single source. Our approvals are listed on the Certificates page.
We deliver finned tubes worldwide, with sales representatives across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Greece, Oman, Yemen, UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Iran, South Africa, South America, Vietnam, Taiwan, Romania, Brazil, Egypt, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia and Germany. Enquiries are answered within 24 hours; our team is available 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, all days.
A bare tube has a plain outer surface. A finned tube has fins attached to or formed on the outer surface, increasing the outside surface area so that heat transfer to a gas — usually air — is no longer limited by the gas side's naturally lower heat transfer coefficient.
G-type embedded and welded finned tubes are generally preferred for higher operating temperatures, since the fin root is mechanically or metallurgically locked to the tube rather than relying on tension winding alone, which can loosen as the tube expands with heat.
We supply finned tubes in stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, copper-nickel and other alloys, with the base tube and fin material selected according to the process fluid, temperature and corrosion environment.
Yes. Finned tubes can be supplied straight or in U-bend form, with the U-bend section finned or left plain depending on your bundle drawing.
In air-cooled service, dust and particulate can collect between fins over time and reduce airflow and efficiency. Wider fin spacing is more tolerant of this than tightly packed fins, and periodic cleaning access should be factored into the bundle layout, particularly in dusty or coastal sites.
Tube outside diameter from 3/8 inch to 8 inch, fin thickness 0.8mm to 3.2mm, fin height 9mm to 38mm, fin pitch 60 to 315 FPM, and finning length up to 24,000mm. Share your specification and we will confirm availability.
